Lord is the author of the 2019 children’s education book “There’s more to books than just reading” and the book of 2022 “More for organizing.” She reported that both books received recognition from the late Queen Elizabeth and the Princess of Wales when she sent copies to them and they responded through personal letters.
Lord is considered an expert in childcare, as she has a master’s degree in education from Durham University and she often gives workshops on this subject. Her expertise is also due to her experience working as a nanny.
Lord explained that while she is currently a part-time nanny, she was previously a full-time nanny and that many of her former clients were billionaires.

Lord said that working with billionaire families often involved travel, and that he would be flown around the world in first class with the family’s private chef at their various residences. She said some of these jobs were long-term, including one with a family she had been employed with for about two and a half years, who had residences around the world.
Others were short-term, including a two-week stint on a cruise ship around northern Europe. Lord said that he had the opportunity to visit South Africa, Italy, Maldives, various remote islands and many other places while working for these families.
Prabhu shared one of the wildest things he saw on the job.
Lord said one parent gave her her credit card and said she was not allowed to deny anything the child asked for.
Lord said that about 14 years ago a client she worked for gave her his credit card, which was specifically for the child’s use, and told her she had to “say no” to any of the child’s requests. was not allowed”.
“I didn’t give him everything he asked,” said the Lord. “But money was not an issue for him.”
One family had a private cook and masseur
Lord said that the family she worked for had a 24-hour cook, and the family would wake her up in the middle of the night if she was hungry. He also said that he had a personal masseuse who lived nearby.
Lord said he would have to get used to being waited on by butlers
Lord said some holidays she started with one of her clients involved being waited on by butlers, something she struggled to get used to.
“It was a little weird for me, because obviously I’m there to look after the kids, but I’m being asked to sit and serve and I don’t like being served at all,” she said.
“But it’s dynamic, and it happens,” she said.
Looking back, Prabhu said he would only change one thing about the experience
Lord said she enjoyed working for the billionaire families, and looking back on the experience the only thing she would change is to recognize the value of her time.
“My time is still worthy. I think some families – not all of them – took advantage of my time and my kindness,” Lord said.
“So with some families, I felt I couldn’t say no, so I’d work longer hours. Then it leads to exhaustion and fatigue, and you can’t do your job properly. At the end of the day, You’re there for the kids, and you can’t support them in the best possible way if you’re destroyed,” she added.
