A new love has come into the life of Rosario Dawson. The Mandalorian actress has confirmed her romance with Nigerian poet Nnamdi Okafor through a sweet new video in which the pair exchange “I love you” with each other.
Dawson shared the clip on Instagram on Tuesday. In the brief snippet, she puts her phone on selfie mode as the pair ride in the back of a golf cart making silly faces for the camera. Okafor then says, “I love you, baby.” Dawson doesn’t miss a beat, returning “I love you, too,” and turning her face to exchange a loving look with her boyfriend.
The actress was previously in a two-year relationship with Senator Corey Booker of New Jersey, but the pair split in February. There’s apparently no real love lost there, as Booker showed his support by liking Dawson’s post.
Okafor was set to support Dawson as she stepped out for her role in Ahsoka at the C2E2 Comic Expo in Chicago. She posted another video of an adorable exchange with the iconic Droid R2D2, in which she says they’ll “get back.” The pair also swap “I love you”.
After first appearing as Ahsoka Tano in Season 2 of The Mandalorian and again in The Book of Boba Fett, Dawson is set to star in her own live-action Star Wars series on Disney+. The 43-year-old actress will continue to play the Force-sensitive fighter in the upcoming spinoff, Ahsoka, which follows the adventures of the established character for the first time in the animated series The Clone Wars.
Speaking to ET at Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim, California, Dawson emphasized being able to become a “literal physical embodiment” of the character, not long after fans campaigned for the role to be brought to life on-screen. Comes. “I can’t really try to envision this character in life, you know, [and] to take him physically,” she said. “He is who he is, he is physical. And it made me feel closer to him and this journey.”
She continued, “It’s been amazing because it’s a gift I’m going to keep for the rest of my life.”
