Love and Gelato is a 2022 romantic comedy film based on the 2016 young adult book of the same name by Jenna Evans Welch. It will be directed by Brandon Camp.
The film is about a 17-year-old American girl named Lena who moves to Rome to live with two family friends before attending college, as her late mother wanted. While she is there, she meets two boys, Lorenzo and Alessandro, and takes a liking to them. Lena reads the diary her mother kept when she was the same age and visited Italy. She does this to find her Italian father, whom she has never met.
