Tiktok star Addison Rae came into limelight in 2020 but she is not the only member of her family who has gained fame.
The item beauty mogul’s parents — 42-year-old Sherry Nicole Easterling and 46-year-old Monty Lopez — have also gained notoriety with their superstar daughter, but not necessarily for the right reasons.

Who is Monty Lopez?
Lopez made headlines in July 2022 when Page Six exclusively revealed that he was reportedly having a five-month affair with a 25-year-old woman named Renee Ashe.

“He told me we were going to be together and have kids together,” she alleged. “He told me a story from his marriage that convinced me that they were separated and in the process of getting a divorce.”

Who is Sherry Nicole Easterling?
Easterling is not only the mother of her 21-year-old superstar daughter, but she shares two sons, Enzo, 14, and Lucas, 8, with her estranged husband. Like Rai, he has a huge TikTok audience with over 14 million followers. She also hosts the “Mama Knows Best” podcast with her mini-me daughter.
In the wake of the fraud allegations leveled against Lopez, she has insisted that her children are her first priority.
“Personal matters being made public is always challenging and overwhelming for anyone involved,” Easterling wrote on her Instagram Story in July 2022, without directly addressing the allegations. “I will be fine. My biggest concern is – and always will be – my children and their fragile hearts and minds. I will always do my best to protect them.”
The podcast host said, “My goal is to make sure they feel safe and secure and know that everything will be okay. Thank you all for the love, support and kind messages. It means the world to me.”
Why did Addison Rae’s parents split?
Easterling and Lopez actually split in the early 2000s, before remarried in 2017.
During that period, Easterling was essentially a single parent to her children, which she discussed in the July 2020 episode of her podcast, “That Was Fun?” with his daughter.
“You were a single mom for a good few years,” Rae said. “For me from about 3 to 6, dad wasn’t really much of a thing in my life. I’m sure it was a personal decision on your part with dad. You bring me to work with you all the time. That’s where I remember all the time.”
Following the fallout of Lopez’s alleged cheating in 2022, Rae’s mother updated her Instagram bio to read “Single Mom” and later tweeted, “That old version of you. Not for you. New story. New.” Edition!”

Who is Yung Gravy?
Yung Gravy – born Matthew Raymond Horie – is an emerging American rapper who, with his song “Mr. Clean,” went viral on SoundCloud.
He’s released several mixtapes and albums in the years since, but it wasn’t until his 2022 hit, “Betty (Get Money)” that he cracked the Billboard Hot 100.
Gravy has embraced TikTok, and has made infamous references and jokes about his love for older women aka “MILFs”.
Are Yung Gravy and Sherry Nicole Dating?
While Easterling kissed the rapper at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards, they didn’t necessarily confirm their relationship status.
“I hit him first. I knew about him, and I thought he was fine,” the “Betty” rapper told Page Six exclusively, noting that he was on “the Internet” and “FaceTime” personally. Had met twice before meeting.
“She’s kind of a Southern belle, and I’m a Northern guy, so it felt really cute and cool. … [I’m] into MILFs, and she’s kinda the queen of MILFs.”
The pair were later seen packing PDA on national TV, sharing a kiss while sitting behind Nicki Minaj as she accepted an award.
What has Monty Lopez said about his alleged affair?
Lopez has not directly addressed the allegations and has not responded to Page Six’s multiple requests for comments.
However, he challenged Yung Gravy to a fight on TikTok after the rapper claimed that he is “soon going on a date” with Easterling.
Has Edison Rae taken sides?
Rai has unfollowed both her mother and her father’s Instagram accounts after Lopez’s alleged affair. The dancer was quick to unfollow her father, but appears to have followed her mother for a few days, until she unfollowed her as well.
When @tiktokroom posted about the social media dis, Easterling wrote in the comments section that it was “heartbreaking” with a sad face.
